The new MINI family features a circular 9.4-inch OLED touchscreen made from high-quality glass. Positioned in the centre of the MINI Interaction Unit, it acts as your main instrument cluster and your hub for infotainment, navigation and assistance.
Its minimalist design gives the cabin a clean, modern feel while keeping the unmistakable round MINI personality front and centre.
MINI Operating System 9
Touch, voice and MINI personality.
The OLED display is powered by MINI Operating System 9, with optimized touch and voice-control functionality. The interface uses reduced design, modern graphics and a clean layout to help make key functions easy to access.
Available functions may vary by MINI model, equipment, software, subscription and connected service availability.
MINI Experience Modes
Change the mood of your MINI.
MINI Experience Modes can transform the look and feel of the cockpit with ambient lighting, display themes, sound and driving character. Core, Green and Go-Kart Modes are standard on many new-generation MINI models, with additional modes available depending on model, equipment and MINI Connected services.
Green Mode
Designed around efficiency, with naturally inspired sounds, calming green lighting and visual feedback that can help encourage smoother driving.
Go-Kart Mode
Turns up the fun with a sportier feel, more responsive character, classic black and red visuals and a soundscape built for smiles.
Trail Mode
Exclusive to the MINI Countryman, Trail Mode supports your adventurous side with nature-inspired lighting, compass display and vehicle inclination data.
Balance Mode
Creates a calmer atmosphere with soothing driving sounds and softer interior lighting. Available functionality may vary by model and options.
Timeless Mode
Reimagines the original Mini spirit with design cues inspired by classic round analogue displays and heritage-inspired sounds.
Personal Mode
Lets you personalize the OLED display using selected personal images, with ambient lighting that can reflect your chosen image colours.

MINI Intelligent Personal Assistant
Just say "Hey MINI."
The MINI Intelligent Personal Assistant lets you use your voice to operate functions like navigation, telephone, radio, temperature, journey information and more. Activate it with the greeting "Hey MINI" or by pressing the push-to-talk button on the steering wheel.
Depending on model and equipment, you may be able to choose between a stylized version of your MINI or Spike, MINI's mascot, as the assistant avatar.
MINI Navigation
Available cloud-based MINI navigation can provide fast route calculations, precise real-time traffic information and destination entry designed to make every trip easier. When navigation is active, the map can fill the OLED display and adapt visually to selected Experience Modes.
AirConsole Gaming
On compatible models, available AirConsole Gaming lets you and your passengers play games on the OLED display using a smartphone as the controller. Finally, a reason to actually park your MINI.
MINI Digital Key Plus
Your MINI can recognize you.
On compatible models, MINI Digital Key Plus can help your MINI unlock and welcome you as you approach, without needing to touch your key fob or smartphone. Keys can also be shared securely with friends or family through Apple Wallet or Google Wallet on compatible devices.

How do I add my MINI to the MINI App?
Open the MINI App and select Vehicle, Garage, then Add Vehicle. Follow the step-by-step instructions while staying close to your MINI. On newer MINI models, you may be able to scan a QR code from the vehicle profile menu to set up your MINI ID and add your MINI to the app.
Can the MINI App send service reminders?
Yes, where supported, the MINI App can provide notifications for upcoming service, status messages, technical updates and recall notices. You can also use the app to book service appointments.
Which MINI vehicles can use the Charging Hub?
The Charging Hub in the MINI App is designed for compatible plug-in hybrid and fully electric MINI models. Availability and functions may vary by model, software and app version.
Can multiple users add the same MINI?
Depending on model generation, more than one MINI ID may be connected to the same vehicle. New-generation MINI models may support one primary user and multiple secondary users.
